Think your band has what it takes to own the stage? The Sugarshack Battle of the Bands is calling all local and regional acts to step up, plug in, and throw down for the ultimate title.
Every Tuesday night in May, 2 bands will go head-to-head in front of a live audience and a panel of judges. One band advances each week, battling their way to the semi final first week of June, and the final round second Tuesday in June—where only one band will be crowned champion.
This is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of live music, community, and the incredible talent throughout our state.
What's up for grabs?
Contest Rules:
- Each band plays a 50 minute set, then will come back out and play 2 songs, not to exceed 10 minutes.
- Covers and songs the crowd request are encouraged
- No backing tracks allowed
- 4 vocals max
- Full backline will be provided and required to use. (Drums, Guitar Amps, Bass Amp)
- 15 minute change over per band
Competition Schedule:
Prelims - 2 different bands will battle it out every Tuesday for the month of May. Semi's and Finals will be held in June. One band will advance every week in May. Competition starts at 6:00 pm.
Semi-Finals - June 9 and June 16
• 4 preliminary round finalists battle it out. Top 2 bands advance to final round.
Final Round - June 23
• Top 2 bands go head to head playing 30 minute sets each. Coin toss will determine who goes first. One champion takes it all!
